Oddly Enough

Over on Gaggle, I had a commenter who was upset with a post I did on the Dixie Chicks. It was the usual leftie stuff where freedom of speech is for them alone. Anyway, she was doing the usual stereotyping of country music fans, and I pointed out to her I have more Sarah McLachlan CDs, than Dixie Chicks. I actually have every CD of Sarah's, including some imports, and a CD that you could have made for you when you ordered a CD of hers online. So, yeah, I'm a fan!

Yes, I'm getting to the odd part! Right after I finished my reply to Mssss. Left, "Possession" played on the radio. I really love that song. so much of her music hits emotional chords with me, and I have strong associations with many of her songs to certain times in my life. In fact, Nin won't let me listen to her music when I'm depressed because I'll get really dark and angsty! "Possession", I love, also "Full of Grace", "Angel", "Sweet Surrender", and "On a Winter's Night".

Time to dig out the CDs and listen all over again! I wish she'd come out of retirement!

Wow, I think we finally have something in common... *lol* I REALLY enjoy her work, I'd say that my favourite songs by her are "Ice" and "Steaming", though.

Mind you, that collaboration that she did with Delerium ("Silence") is also pretty bloody good.
