I was correcting an error over on a Gaggle post (grip was sposed to be gripe) and all of a sudden I remembered my grandmother used to call her purse a "grip". Anyone else ever hear that term used?
Posted by Ith at May 6, 2003 5:25 PMNever heard a purse called a grip, but that word has been used for a suitcase.... Remembering an old song called "Goofus" in which there's a line, "So I packed my grip and grabbed my saxophone..."
And this and 50 cents will get you tomorrow's newspaper. :)
