We've been having odd weather the last week or so. It's been warmer during the day than it usually is in the summer. Today, we had some high clouds overhead and we were all just outside looking at the sunset. We don't normally get the kind of cloud formations we have right now. It reminds me the type of clouds you see in New Mexico or Texas, that sort of broken ceiling of clouds in little dollops like snow banks. And the colour! I don't think there is a word for the colour of the underside of the clouds at sunset. Pete decided they were oink, for orange/pink. First suggestion porange, but it was decided that was too close to porn! (awaiting the inevitable web searches for porn now!)
And now all the colour is gone as the sun has sunk down too low. They're back to being in their everyday grey. But it was magical while it lasted.
