At this point, I've gotten through almost all of the extra stuff on the Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring Extended DVD appendices. Can I just say, "Wow" again? Yes, there were gripes I had with the movie -- especially the characterization of Aragorn not wanting or accepting being King -- but still, it was obvious there was so much love and care in the making of this movie, I could forgive it. After watching the appendices, I've come away with even more respect for Peter Jackson and the cast and crew. These people loved the material and had a deep respect for Tolkien's vision. I think Peter Jackson was meant to make these movies, and I'm so glad he did.
