This was sent to me in an email:
"Islam is a religion in which God requires you to send your son to die for Him. Christianity is a faith in which God sent His Son to die for you." John Ashcroft
lil update: on a related note
I have two words for Mr. Ashcroft: The Crusades.
Posted by: Ealasaid on November 16, 2002 4:03 PMThe real version, or the PC version they try to teach us these days?
For a great article on the (real) Crusades, I'd reccomend this
Posted by: Ith on November 16, 2002 10:02 PMOh, and this one too: Crusading They Went
Posted by: Ith on November 16, 2002 10:15 PMOh, BTW, what have the Crusades got to do with the quote? I don't think Ashcroft was alive that long ago :) Nor were any of us for that matter. If Muslims want to use some bizzare veiw of the Crusades as some justification for murder and terror, then I could use the same to go kill Italians. Or the English. Or our country could still be holding a grudge against the Japanese for Pearl Harbour, or the Battan Death March. Or Jews could set of bombs in German buses. None of us do any of those things. I'd say that paints a pretty clear picture of our current enemy.
